Network virtualization is a mechanism of integrating the resources available in a network by dividing the bandwidth available into channels, each independent of the other, each of which can be assigned (or reassigned) in real time to a particular server or device. In computing, network virtualization or network virtualization, hardware and software network resources and network functionality are combined into a single administrative entity based on software, a virtual network. Virtualization of the network includes virtualization of the platform, often associated with virtualization of resources.
Benefits of Virtualized Network: Savings in capital expenditure. Virtualization allows companies to lower their IT costs by needing fewer hardware servers and linked resources to obtain almost the same performance, availability and extensibility of computers. Virtualization makes installing and maintaining software, distributing updates and maintaining a more secure network easier for technicians. They can do it with less downtime, fewer service interruptions, faster recovery and immediate backup compared to a non-virtual environment. Virtualization simply makes recovery much faster and more accurate, with less manpower and a fraction of the equipment.
Constraints of Virtualized Network: The practical implementation and management of a virtualized environment requires IT staff with virtualization expertise. This will have extremely high implementation costs. It requires a combination of links in a chain which must collaboratively work together. If you do have local equipment, you have complete control over what you can do. You lose this control with virtualization because many links have to work together to carry out the same task. It's time consuming because although you save time during the stages of virtualization implementation, compared to the local systems, it costs users long-term time. It's because there are additional steps to achieve specific result.
